London: Charles H. Kelly Hard Cover. 7 5/8 x 5 1/8. 384 pp. Subtitled: Daily Readings for Hungering Christians. Inscription on endpaper is dated 7th Sept., 1901. Day by day, devotional readings through the year. Each day begi ns with a direct quote from the Bible. The author states in the Preface "Here is refreshing fruit, which can be plucked and eaten in a few brief minutes, bringing nourishment, stimulous, and refreshme nt to the spirit." Maroon cloth on boards deeply embossed with designs linear and leaf from the perios Arts and Crafts Movement (1870 - 1914) Title on front and spine blind-stamped. Title on spine gol d gilt. A bit of wear to corners and rear cover. Binding basically bright, tight and clean. Gift inscription and former owners name on tight and free front endpapers. Text has yellowed slightly, but n o foxing and exceptionally clean. A lovely copy. Overall cond: v. good..
