Methuen, London, 1st Edition, 1st Printing 1927, introduction by A.A. Milne, featuring drawings from Punch. Hardcover with dust jacket, pp. 88, 12+ x 10 x 0.5 inches, charming paper illustration on front board, full page black and white illustrations and 7 colour (pastel) plates with verses by E.V. Knox. DJ repeats the illustratrion on the upper board. The book is in Good condition within a Good jacket - the hinge with rear board is starting to crack, with some wear at spine bottom, pages are clean with occasional fingermarks, jacket has some open tears but is expertly preserved with mylar. An essential item for Punch enthusiasts, and Shrpard and Milne collectors alike
