The text is illustrated with numerous black-and-white film stills throughout. Brown coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Colour photographic dustwrapper with orange, white and gray coloured titles to the front panel and white, black and gray titles to the backstrip. In this book the author looks at the science fiction film, from Georges Melies 1902 film "A Trip to the Moon" through to "Close Counters of the Third Kind". Rubbing to the backstrip edges and to the book corners. Very light age toning of the textblock edges with scattered foxing. Little creasing to the dustwrapper edges and rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. Fading to the backstrip. This is the first UK edition. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. (6), 7-320 pages,.
