A Collector's numbered limited first edition, Fine unread book in a Fine, green clamshell box – box has a tiny transparent drop of glue used in constructing this unusual edition to back edge of the box. This is copy number 13 of only 18 such copies. On the half title page Bruen has written the title in Gaelic. A short story featuring Jack Taylor. There are mounted, full-color photos of Bruen, Parks, Pelecanos, and Hornsby opposite the title page, list of Illustrations, the Introduction, and the Afterword. There are three B/W drawings by Parks that are tipped-in. The limitation page is signed by all four contributors. A Galway Hooker is actually a type of small fishing boat that was developed for use in the treacherous waters of Galway Bay, off the west coast of Ireland. The front board of the box features an etching of a Galway Hooker on very thin sheet of pine. While mounted to the inside of box, opposite the book, is a beautiful, wooden model of a Hooker. The model was made in Galway, Ireland, at Islandcraft Studios and purchased by Bruen especially for this unusual edition.

First Edition. (1993) Hardcover with d.j. Fine with near fine dust jacket. D.J. has slight curl on top edge and light rubbing on back. No worn edges. Tight binding with clean, sharp pages. No markings. 305 pages. Dolores Claiborne is a psychological thriller novel. The novel is narrated by the title character. Atypically for a King novel, it has no chapters, double-spacing between paragraphs, or other section breaks; thus the text is a single continuous narrative which reads like the transcription of a spoken monologue. This book is dedicated to King's mother: "For my mother, Ruth Pillsbury King."

Collins White Circle Pocket Edition #228. Great 1940s cover! Colonel Anthony Gethryn must prove a man innocent of a murder he's been convicted for in only 5 days. MacDonald was a great practitioner of the mystery-suspense genre; his books remain readable, even if his characters are nowhere near as enlightened as we tend to be today. Please read this volume in its historical context. A very clean copy, spine slightly darkened with very faint reading crease: see photos.
