About This Item

The First UK printing published by Chatto and Windus in 1967. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. Very light pushing and fading at the extreme spine tips. Light toning and spotting to the text-block which has just encroached onto the page edges in a few places. Slight spotting to the prelims. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The paper thin WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good+ condition. Light toning to the spine with occasional light markings. A small tear to the spine has had a Japanese tissue repair to the verso. The Patricia Davey wrapper artwork remains very attractive in the removable Brodart archival cover. The nicest example of the wrapper that we have handled to date. The book has been signed (without dedication) to the title page and a ticket for the signing event accompanies this book as provenance. The author's very scarce second novel. Collectible. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
