1939. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (London: The Verona Press 1939). SPECIAL AND LIMITED EDITION. Designed by Hans Mardersteig and printed in the autumn of 1939 at the Offina Bodoni, Verona in Centaur type. The paper was made by Enrico Nagnani, Pescia. # 522 of 1,200 numbered copoies. With coloured lithographs by Marie Laurencin. Publisher's original green patterned linen-covered boards with red title label, in grey D/W. Mild foxing to the end-papers otherwise a near fine (or better) copy in like D/W slightly darkenened to the spine and with a hint of creasing at the spine tips. Publisher's Note tipped in. Without the slipcase. Note: Although printed before WW2 it was held up in Italy during the war and not released until 1947. A very nice copy indeed. Photographs/scans available upon request.
