Limited edition printed by David Holman at Wind River Press in an edition of 1,000 copies, Austin, Texas, 261pp., index, bibliography, appendix, historic photographs, maps, illust. Oblong 4to, white cloth backed green photographic boards, green paper spine label has tiny chip and rubbing. Beautiful production with several hundred historic photographs. Paper is beginning to deteriorate along the edges with tiny holes and some minor rubbing exposing the boards and the white cloth spine is soiled. This scarce history is clean, tight and rhw contents are fine. Wear to the boards noted.

Rare to find this county history. Its contents include early Natime Americans, Spain and France, "The Runaway Scrape," Social Violence, Slavery, Slave Trade, Developing Black Culture, Civil War. Oil Boom, and Ship Building among other interesting topics by one of the county's most well respected historians.
