About This Item

(Johannesburg: Dagbreek Boekhandel, 1961). 8vo; original blue boards, lettered in black on spine; dustwrapper; endpaper map; pp. 241; plates. Dustwrapper slightly edgeworn and rubbed; spine a bit cocked; light browning and a few fox spots to edges. Good condition. Afrikaans text. A series of essays on the winds of change affecting Africa, as independence movements gained strength. There is much on South Africa's outlook in the face of these changes, including race relations in the Nationalist-governed Republic and the aftermath of Verwoerd's assassination. .
