Spine missing, covers barely attached, faint spotting to title page, interior is tanned but otherwise clean and unmarked. Title page calls for an engraved map of the city, but only map present is, curiously, a full-page map of Hartford for 1841. The author explains that the map is part of a 20 page pamphlet which was originally printed in 1841, and included in the 1871 directory. The directory includes a number of engravings of public buildings and churches, as well as 61 pages of advertising.
