About This Item

US,12mo p/b,1st edn thus.[Originally a magazine version serialised in 'Astounding Science-Fiction' under the title 'Dorsai!',copyrighted 1959 to Street & Smith Publications, Inc.] VG.No owner inscrptn.Bright, crisp, clean, vibrant colour cover art by Ed Valigursky - but uncredited; with some negligible shelf-wear and some inevitable, but minimal creasing to the spine/backstrip and it's gutter's edges,on both covers and corners - but no cracking - a small corner crease to top, rear corner.Top+fore-edges with brick red colouring and spotting-free; contents bright, tight, clean, solid and sound without cracking i.e. pages completely glued to spine and in situ without any loose/detached pages.Book has a slight lean or spine roll, obviously been carefully read but without any intentional dog-ear reading creases to pages' corners. The top, rear corner crease looks to be accidental as the corresponding internal pages' top corners have concomitant creasing, right back from the last page to pp95 (out of 159).US,12mo p/b 1st edn thus, 5-159pp [paginated] includes Pts I-III with unpaginated chapters/sections; plus [unpaginated] precis'd half-title page and title page. Donal Graeme was from Dorsai,a small planet whose major export was well-trained, fearless military mercenaries. On the day he reached adulthood he was ready to go out among the star systems and make his name. But he paused a moment, pondering the strange, indefinable force that seemed to drive him to his unknown destiny. Now,after six years of desperate exploits,Donal once again felt that hidden power that no living being could explain. But time had run out.The great worlds in the far-flung galaxy had played their planet politics and now their two warring camps were on the eve of a fantastic final reckoning. And suddenly Donal knew his destiny. For he was the one man among the stars in a position to stop the mechanism behind this suicidal struggle. And to do it, he had to tackle the impossible and conquer the invincible! Please contact seller @ rpaxtonden@blueyonder.co.uk ,because of the lighter weight of this item, for correct shipping/P+p quotes - particularly ALL overseas buyers - BEFORE ordering through the order page!
