Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards have been heavily rub worn with noticeable shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a noticeably frayed and spine ends are crushed, with some small splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

A 12mo of 7 1/4 by 5 inches with light rubbing and wear to the head and heel of the spine and the paper covering is rubbed through at the tips of the boards and much of the fore edge of the front board. Without its issued dust jacket. 217 pages of text. Illustrated with a frontispiece and numerous vignettes and plates by Ralph Barton.
