Small split at upper rear join 1 inch, just loosening in binding but still sound. Booksellers stamp (Kirby Stephen) to fep and presentation inscription to next free page to Lina Vansittart from Arthur Vansittart dated 1833. Printed dedication to William IV and Adelaide. 51 hand-coloured maps as called for, incuding the world, principal mountains, chief rivers, principal seas and lakes as well as maps of individual countries which each have a facing plate giving information on major towns and their situation, fold-out map of Great Britain showing parliamentary constituencies of 1832. Places include Hindoostan, South America, North America, Prussian States and Cochin China. Altogether a fascinating collection, attractive and scarce. A nice survival.. First Edition. Hardback. Good.
