New York: Dover Publications, 1950. Hardcover. Very Good/Good+. Original red cloth with gilt title on spine; 638 pp. indexed and illustrated. Former owner's stamp on front pastedown and lower front title page, along with an unused postage stamp (5 cents) with the image of Hoover. Also laid in is a first day of issue stamped Hoover envelope, addressed to an MD in Minnesota and dated 1965. The dust jacket is price-clipped and has a chip on th eupper corner of front panel, and is now protected in mylar. "This new 1950 edition of De Re Metallica is a complete and unchanged reprint of the translation published by The Mining Magazine, London , in 1912." A nice copy. Ships within 24 hours!

Tall 4to., 672 pp., 289 illustrations. Red cloth in tan and green dust jacket. The jacket id chipped, with a small loss on the rear panel. SIGNED by Herbert Hoover with a short inscription on the front end paper. The famous Hoover translation of the unabridged edition of the greatest treatise on technological chemistry, mining, geology and engineering of early modern times.
