All maps and plans are in mint condition, as listed in the contents. Original variant coarse grained red cloth, slightly faded and rubbed to edges; dull gilt lettering to spine and upper board. Publisher's ads to feps, map to reps. All edges marbled. Woven book mark. A nice crisp copy.
The first and only edition in English to describe Germany as a whole. Translated by H.A.Piehler.

Originally published as northern and southern volumes from the 1870s onwards, this was the first combined edition.
