Venice: Giovanni Fiorina, 1592. First Edition. Hardcover (Vellum). Fair Condition. Early vellum, worn and stained. Lacking first blank and A1 (the first text page but otherwise complete). [4 leaves], 52 (of 53) leaves, 4pp table, 2 blank leaves. Rear blanks are worn. Light dampstains throughout, heavier in spots, but not obscuring any text or illustration. Wear and short tears in the margins to the early pages. 20 woodcuts, mostly of grafting methods (one plate repeated 3 times), and 12 vignette illustrations of the months. A passable copy of a rare and important gardening work. Graesse I 581, Brunet 6466. There were editions in 1593, 1612 and 1781. Size: Quarto (4to). Quantity Available: 1.
