The text is illustrated with numerous full-page black-and-white drawings by the author. Brown coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Bumping to the backstrip edges and rubbing to the book corners. Browning and foxing to the top and bottom text block edge. Browning, a faint offset tanning and foxing to the endpapers and light browning to the internal text. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by the author, with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing to the dustwrapper edges and chipping to the top dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. There is a 1.5 " tear to the lower left-hand corner of the front dustwrapper panel and a small tear to the top edge of the same panel. Fading of the backstrip and Browning and foxing to the rear dustwrapper panel, fold over panels and the verso of the dustwrapper. Black and white illustrated portrait of author, by author, to the rear fold over panel. A series of 7 short stories by the French writer Philippe Jullian. Translated from the French by Jean Stewart.
