Very Good/A very early example of Bodoni printing (only the 38th of over 1,400 items catalogued by Brooks), this volume of cheerful verse about a day at the country cottage is decorated with a well-known engraved title page and three detailed vignettes of rural scenes. . Octavo (215mm) [8], 62 pages, including engraved title page and three engraved vignettes. Typographical ornament repeated for each of the 112 octaves. Typographical headpieces. Bound in original speckled pastepaper, worn and perishing along spine, but still intact on panels and at corners and edges. Light dampstains affect the outer margins of the central leaves, but in general this is a better copy than most.
