Roads and tribal names are featured. Fish abound in the cartouche and Florida is presented as a series of islands. Giovanni Maria Cassini (1745 - 1824) was a geographer, engraver and globe maker based in Rome, Italy. Best known for his globes, his maps stood out for their elaborate engravings, which he did himself, unlike most publishers of the time. Excellent condition.<br/><br/>

Image measures 13" x 18 1/2"<br/> <br/> This large scale map printed in 1794 depicts the northern provinces of Portugal. Hand-colored outline delineates regional divisions, the map depicts the regions of Estremadura, Beira, Trasos Montes, Entre Douro e Minho, and parts of the surrounding Spanish regions of Estremadura, Regno di Leon, and Galizia. Major cities are prominently indicated as red fortifications. Mountains are depicted pictorially. A vignette surrounds the title cartouche with a beautifully engraved pastoral landscape. In good condition, with tiny manuscript notations throughout. Image measures 18.75" x 13.75".<br/> <br/> This fine antique map of the western part of Bohemia (modern day Czech Republic) extends westward from Prague. Details roads, towns and pictorial topography. Depicts Bohemia while it was in the midst of the Czech National Revival. A ornate title cartouche featuring a pastoral scene adorns the lower left corner. Map is in very good condition with slight wear along the centerfold. This map is from the 1796 edition of the atlas 'Nuovo Atlante Geografico Universale', published in Rome between 1792-1801.<br/> <br/>
