Cambridge, MA Perseus Books: Westview Press, 2006. Paperback Fourth Edition. Fourth Edition. Near Fine in Wraps: shows only the most minute indications of use: just a hint of wear to extremities. Binding shows barely discernible lean, but remains perfectly secure; else flawless; text clean. Very close to 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 350pp. (Dilemmas in World Politics). Academic Press Paperback. Recently, I needed to learn a great deal about global environmental issues and global environmental politics in a short period of time. My assistant went and bought more than two dozen books - edited volumes, easy readers, detailed analyses, text books, etc. I surveyed them all and read most cover to cover. This is by far the best. It gave me the essential information in a very readable and well organized format. It was did not lecture but informed. I saw many far longer or more focused volumes but this one covered all the bases and was a pleasure to read. Perhaps it's a little strange to recommend this type of book around the office but when people ask me, this is the one I point to.
