London: Stanley Paul, 1954. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. A VG copy with slightly pushed spine tips and light foxing to the page edges and the early/late pages of the book in like slightly creased and edge-worn D/W. Inscribed by the Author on the frontispiece: To Jack/ With Best Wishes/ from/ Nat Lofthouse. A photograph of the Author signing the book has been pasted to the verso of the title page. Signed on the half-title by the following contemporary Bolton Wanderers players from the 1954/1955 season: John Ball, Tommy Banks, Arthur Barnard, Malcolm Barrass, Eric Bell, Walter Bingley, Bryan Edwards, Ken Grieves, Ralph Gubbins, Stan Hanson, Ray Hartle, William Hassell, Derek Hennin, John Higgins, Doug Holden, Nat Lofthouse, Willie Moir, Tommy Neill, Harry Webster. There are a further 8 signatures inside the book that I have been unable to identify. A unique item signed by numerous members of the England team from that era.
