Portland, OR: Passages Bookshop, 2017. First printing. 15 x 22 inches. Three-color screenprint on Arnhem White paper, printed in an edition of 130 numbered copies. This copy one of 30 signed and titled by the artist. (Note: photos show an unsigned copy; signature and title added in pencil below image on all signed copies.) New.



A poster published to celebrate the new year, as well as the first anniversary of Passages Bookshop’s retail storefront and gallery in Portland, Oregon. Designed by Portland painter and printmaker Gabriel Liston, and printed under his supervision at Atelier Meridian, the poster features one of Liston’s trademark drawings based on observational studies, along with an excerpt from a Pindar translation by poet Theodore Enslin. Issued as the first in an annual series.

About Passages Bookshop

Passages Bookshop stocks fine, rare, and unusual books and graphic art, with a concentration on modern and contemporary literature and art (particularly poetry and the avant-garde), artist's books, fine printing, and the book arts. The successor to New York City's Bridge Bookshop (late 1980s), Passages opened in Albuquerque in 1994 and relocated to Portland, Oregon, in 1997. In November of 2015 we moved to a new retail shop and gallery centrally located in Portland's east side, two blocks north of the convention center, where we are typically open Thursday through Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 pm, as well as by appointment or chance.
