Hardcover. This "Chicago Daily News" literary editor, syndicated columnist and rare book dealer (1913-84) authored the popular "Gold in Your Attic" question-and-answer column for many years, collecting these columns into several guide books. Heavy duty 4to burgundy pebble-grained cloth corporate minute book with paper labels, A-to-Z letter tabs at outer margins, marbled endpapers. Very good. Faint edgewear. Into this a devoted admirer has painstakingly tipped in a large number of clipped-out "Gold in Your Attic" columns, sorting them alphabetically by subject matter. Before the alphabet begins there's a sheet protector bearing a Typed Note Signed from Bradley, 1p, 8½" X 11", Chicago, IL, 17 January 1961. Addressed to Mrs. Ralph Wyman. Good plus. Lightly age toned, with several original folds and tape stain. Interesting note to this Wisconsin admirer: "I found it impossible to include Williams Bay in my recent lecture foray into Wisconsin. I do appreciate your letter and the ad you put in Antiquarian Bookman. It was a delight, and I am sure that many people got a chuckle out of it...." Nicely signed in blue ballpoint.
