About This Item
The Readers Library Publishing Company Ltd. London.,1927. First Readers Library Film Edition. Small 8vo.6.7 x 4.2 inches. First edition in English.Page edges browned as usual but generally a very good copy in publishers burgundy cloth binding. Front board and spine lettered and elaborately decorated in gilt. Spine has oxidised a bit resulting in the gilt being a bit dulled. Original full colour first state dustwrapper, without any mention of this title in the listings. Wrapper shows characters from the 1927 Danish silent film directed by A. W Sandberg. Some chipping top corners but overall a very good example. The film was relased in England by Gaumont.:
