Several of his poetry collections are regarded as notable contributions to the Indian English language poetry canon. 'The Golden Gate' is Vikram Seth's first novel. It is a novel in verse composed of 590 Onegin stanzas. It was inspired by Charles Johnston's translation of Pushkin's 'Eugene Onegin'. In full cloth binding with gilt stamping to the spine. With original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear. Dustwrapper is also excellent with minor shelfwear. Small amount of bumping to the extremities of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to the edges and clean throughout. Near Fine
