Bice, Clare. 182pp. Small spill stain bottom edge pp36-37, showing through adjacent pages. Smudge to top corner pp53-54. Prev owner name inked on ffep. Green cloth w goldstamp to cover, gold lettering to spine. Bumping to corners. Binding square and sound. Colour illustrated DJ shows moderate wear and creasing to top edges, light wear to bottom edges, and chipping to corners; bottom back corner shows 2cm chip, preserved now in BroDart cover. Octavo: 235 x 160mm. This first novel by Catherine Anthony Clark (1892-1977) was published when she was 58, and illustrated by the acclaimed Canadian artist, Clare Bice (1909-1976).
