First edition thus (n.d. ca 1854 based on publisher's address - 24 Beekman Street); 4 1/2 x 5 1/2; pp. [5], vi-vii, [4], 12-62, [4]; engraved beige paper over heavy card stock; some loss of paper to spine covered inconspicuously with barely-visible tape; numerous hand-colored engravings; foxing to pages (not affecting illustrations); overall very good condition. An uncommon mid-19th century Mcloughlin book dedicated to all the good little boys in the village and including stories about good and naughty boys in chapters on the well-behaved little boy, the attentive little boy, the inattentive little boy, the covetous little boy, the dilatory little boy, the exact little boy, the quarrelsome little boy, and the good little boy. OCLC lists one copy at the Free Library of Philadelphia.
