Jackson bequeaths to readers and friends his ''main estate'', his memory of people. His good 'uns range from hobos to executives, swine growers to cow buyers, educators to entertainers, politicians and bankers to athletes and scientists. All share at least two traits: they shaped farm policy in California, and they touched Bud Jackson's life.
