First Edition, First Printing with the ORIGINAL dustjacket. This price clipped dustjacket has the important First Issue point with NO "Harper Blue Ribbon Book" sticker. Later dustjackets have the sticker on the front panel near the bottom spine. Another First Issue point considered on this dustjacket is the "Little Chicken" listing on the back inside flap of the dustjacket that is present on this dustjacket along with the #6485 30-60 code printed on the bottom flap. This UNRESTORED dustjacket has some wear along the spine that been lightly mended by some clear tape on the reverse. There are two small chips to the edges NOT effecting any lettering and minor wear to the edges. The book is bound in the publisher's green cloth spine with pictorial boards and is in excellent condition. The binding is tight with with light wear to the edges. The pages are exceptionally clean with NO writing, marks or bookplates in the book. A wonderful copy of with the the rare dustjacket.

Goodnight Moon is an American children's book written by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Clement Hurd. It was first published in 1947, and is a highly acclaimed example of a bedtime story. The content depicts the process of a child saying goodnight to everything around: "Goodnight room. Goodnight moon. Goodnight cow jumping over the moon. Goodnight light, and the red balloon..."
