Gilt lettering to spine. 8 full page coloured illus., by Harold Copping. Frontispiece. Postscript to rear. Catalogue of Religious Tract Society's published works in rear. This absolutely gorgeous edition brings the Bodley Head's "Yellow Books" to mind, as the blood red front cover and spine are gloriously illustrated with elborate woodcuts, depicting John Bunyan at an open doorway, peering in which is further explained by the illustration at pgs. 64- 64. The full page illustrations by Harold Copping visually explain the narrative in a wonderful fashion..
