1500 RARE Incunabula Lorenzo Valla Grammatica Compendium Basel Humanism Language

Lorenzo Valla was a 15th-century Italian humanist who wrote several works on logic, rhetoric, and grammar. He also produced notes on the Bible, attacked principles of stoicism, and even attacks on Boethius's 'Consolation of Philosophy'. 'Grammatica', which first appeared in 1485 and also known as 'Compendium, has commonly been attributed to Valla and contains substantial arguments against the use of 'post-Classical' linguistic norms, as they were rooted in pagan traditions.

This incredibly rare 1500 incunabula is most impressive and includes illustrated initials.
