Winner of Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Thomas Volney Munson (1843-1913) Texas horticulturist who developed over 300 varieties of new grapes especially for south and southwest. It was Munson who saved the French grapes from phylloxera epidemic of the late 19th c.
