New York: Random House, 1977. Very Rare Signed Copy. Signed and inscribed on fep. 8vo sized hardcover with dustjacket; 307 pages plus a section of black and white photographs on glossy stock. Photo illustrated jacket. From flap: "George McGovern's refreshingly candid autobiography throws a unique spotlight on the American political process. At the same time is shows a husband and father struggling with the conflicting claims of the heart and demands of a public career." George McGovern (1922-2012) was an United States politician, serving as a United States Representative and Senator for his home state of South Dakota. He was the Democratic Party presidential candidate in 1972. Throughout his career McGovern was the recipient of many awards and honorary degrees. Among his awards is the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He was the author of more than dozen books. Purchased and signed in Massachusetts, the only state in which the majority voted for McGovern and not Richard Nixon in the 1972 Presidential campaign, spawning "Don't Blame Me, I Voted for McGovern" bumper stickers. Returns are accepted in original packaging with advance Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA.) If a return is required, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number and more information.

Refund of the purchase price minus a 25% restocking fee will be issued upon receipt of the item in as sold condition. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

However, if you make a fraudulent return to avoid our restocking fee by claiming the item is damaged, or you cause damage to the item and then return it, we will not issue a refund.
