About This Item

New York: Tor Books. Very Good+. 1990. 1st Paperback Edition; 1st Printing. Paperback. B&W Illustrations; This Trade paperback edition was printed simultaneously with the hardback edition and in fact, there is evidence that the second state binding for the hardback was made up of copies of the trade paperback which were rebound in case bindings. This book is in Very Good+ condition and was issued thus without a dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. There is a light slant to the spine of the book and some light edge wear and rubbing to the spine ends and corners. The cover is a fully illustrated wrap-around cover with additional full page illustration on inside front cover and where the endpaper normally is. The text pages are clean and bright. The edges of the text block have some light toning / sunning. The interior illustrations are by Matthew C. Nielsen with maps by John M. Ford and cover illustration by Darryl Sweet. This is the second volume of a massive decology (ten volume set). "The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. For centuries, gleemen have told the tales of The Great Hunt of the Horn. So many tales about each of the Hunters, and so many Hunters to tell of - Now the Horn itself is found: the Hor of Valere long thought only legend, the Horn wich will raise the dead heroes of the ages. And it is stolen." "James Oliver Rigney, Jr. (October 17, 1948 – September 16, 2007) , better known by his pen name Robert Jordan, was an American author of epic fantasy. He is best known for the Wheel of Time series, which comprises 14 books and a prequel novel. He is one of several writers to have written original Conan the Barbarian novels." ; Vol. 2 .
