Willard by her daughter, the noted feminist and women's suffrage activist, Frances E. Willard. Dedicated to the White Ribbon Women of the world. Her influence was instrumental in the passage of the Eighteenth (Prohibition) and Nineteenth (Women Suffrage) Amendments to the United States Constitution. Binding: Beveled covers; silver designs and lettering; decorative endpapers; frontispiece and tissue overlay and plates throughout; 297 pages. Condition of binding: Lightly age toned (darker at spine), soiling, tiny stains at foot of spine, wear to top/foot of spine and light shelf wear (tiny bumps), and small faint discoloration areas. Edges toned with two small stains on top edge. First and rear hinges partially cracked but holding nicely. Frontispiece/plates are clear, vivid. Pages are lightly age toned (with isolated areas of old insect stains), offsets to pgs. 118 and 119 (due to old, long-gone paper or bookmark saved in this area). A few pencil underlines and brackets.
