New York: The Viking Press. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1946. First Edition. Hardcover. VG- Pictorial hardcover, with matching end pages. Bright art work and lettering with heavily worn ends and spine; pencil erasures on the ffep. One of the few full color examples of American Illustrator, Robert Lawson who is better known for his pen and ink drawings. Story of a rather evil looking cat who is intent on having baby robin for dinner. Mother and Father Robin fiend him off, and all is well in the end (from the Robin's point of view) Former owner's name on the end page and again facing the title page. .
