Fifth Edition, due to extensive changes sometimes recognized as the First/Main Edition of Grillparzer's works. 18x12.5cm. All 10 books bound in burgundy cloth with 4 raised bars to the spine, gilt lettering and ornaments to the spine and front cover. General shelf wear to corners and edges, some soiling to boards. Block edges marbled. All text blocks: excellent, pages clean with no marks. All works numbered separately within the books. Spine on book 4 (Works 7, 8) damaged, bottom half missing. Book 10 - ink notes to the margins. Other books - pencil marks to the text and margins. .

J. G. Cotta'sche Buchhandlung, 1111. Hardcover. Good. 236 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. Erster & Zweiter Band. Printed in German. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.
