Four intaglio engravings with original handcolor, images approximately 6 1/2 x 5 inches on sheets approximately 11 x 7 1/2 inches (one trimmed to 6 3/4 inches wide). Very small tears and chipping to edges of three sheets and creasing to two sheets, outside image area. Overall very good condition. The four engravings are precise renderings of four different plants with medicinal properties, showing roots, leaves, flowers, and stamen. From an unknown mid 1800s publication, they are numbered as follows: Figure 24, arum; Figure 46, cinchona; Figure 58, scammony; Figure 85, corncockle. .
