The film, released in the U.K. in 1948, was directed by Carol Reed, and starred Ralph Richardson, Michele Morgan, Sonia Dresdel, Jack Hawkins, et al. Greene's screenplay was nominated for an Academy Award and NBA award, and won at the Venice Film Festival, and was publishes in company with THE THIRD MAN in 1950. WOBBE D10.
