Profusely illustrated with black and white reproductions of archival photos. Published to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the coming of the Mennonites to Canada and, more importantly, to the area of Grunthal, Manitoba. Provides an informative explanation of how and why the Mennonites came to Canada in the first place, then focuses on the history of Grunthal and her many determined pioneers. Large fold-out map inside back board is a facsimile of the 1873 original which indicates landowners in Township No. 5, Range 5, East of Principal Meridian. Book clean and unmarked with average wear to the publisher's green cloth. Binding intact. Above-average wear to dust jacket which is now preserved in glossy new archival-grade Brodart. A sound copy of this informative local history and invaluable genealogical reference..
