The simultaneous issue in wrappers of this counterculture manifesto, written by the founder of the White Panthers, a loose political party associated with the counterculture, which evolved into the Rainbow People's Party. Heavily illustrated; printed on rainbow-colored pages, and with a "Rainbow Reading and Listening List" in the back that provides a useful bibliography of the books important to the counterculture. Spine slanted; minor creasing and lower edge dampstaining; a very good copy in wrappers.

Classic counterculture, this tome is a memoir of a member of the White Panther Party, also the manager of MC5. John Sinclair spent 29 months in prison on possession of two joints F marijuana. Jacket shows closed tears at upper and lower edges, as well as other light wear; remains otherwise clean and crisp. White cloth, red title stamped to spine. There is a small sticker from the Strand Book Store to the front free endpaper; else is impressively clean, tight, bright, and lavishly illustrated..

As new, very fine copy. Showing very slight foxing at edges of pages due to age, otherwise clean and unread.

United States: Rainbow, 1972. This book was signed in person by John Sinclair in pen on the first page on a rare visit to Los Angeles. Sinclair, who now lives in Amsterdam, seldom comes to the US and I had the opportunity to get his book signed at a reading he did for the new edition of Guitar Army.
