Three-quarters green leather over marbled boards with 5 raised bands on brown leather spine & gilt decorated panels & title. Top edges gilt. Text including hinges is tight clean & intact. (xvi, 431pp). Pages 430 & 431 are mislabeled as 432 &433. Illustrated with 10 engraved copper plates including folding frontis. C. G. Salzmann is listed as the author on the title page; however, the work is attributed to Guts Muths by the Library of Congress. Originally published in German in 1793. Lightly rubbed edges & corners. Minor scattered foxing. Sports, Gymnastics, Physical Education, Health. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 431 pages .
