Follows the popular The Half Deck, which he wrote in 1933. The Monarch, under Capt. McFarlane, leaves the Firth of Clyde for Africa, the Barbadoes, New Orleans, and back. War is declared while in Africa, and the ship tries to outrun a submarine. Small name on front fly leaf otherwise a clean, tight copy. Record # 382464
