The forerunner of the Federation of Malaya Annual reports this is the work of 1920s spin doctors demonstrating the triumphs of British administration in prewar Malaya. It would appear this is the first of several editions that were published until the Japanese invasion of Malaya. With lots of statistics and black and white photos as well as informative text. This is the first edition of the handbook which was issued on a regular basis in the 1930s.183 pages. There is a 1924 map of Malaya in an inside pocket on the back cover. Please see the scan of the contents page for further details. Weight: 0.8kg. Post free within Malaysia The cover has a little bit of rubbing along the edges and one or two bumps. The binding is tight, the text is clear and there is mild tanning throughout. The map has no slits, tears or pieces missing. An unusually good copy.
