Dust jacket (see below) not depicted but present. Sterling condition hardcover copy bound in teal-green cloth, with unbruised tips, beveled edges, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear; not ex-library, with neither underlining nor highlighting anywhere. Gorgeously illustrated cover (and throughout, by the author), and with remarkably sharp and distinct gilt lettering to cover. All edges gilt. Frontis illustration, tissue-guarded. Decorated endpapers. The book is covered by a mylar-coated dust wrapper in Near Fine condition but that also advertises "Pastoral Days; or, memories of a New England Year" on the front panel and "Highways and Byways" on the rear panel, with "Happy Hunting-Grounds" on the spine. 202 pp. and with full and complete index.
