The covers are gilt stamped with the scene of Moses holding the ten commandments. The three family record pages have ornate color and gilt borders and contain the records of John A. Wood, or Newburgh. and Sarah E. Lawson, of Brooklyn and formerly of Poughkeepsie, married July, 3rd, 1848. .

One fore-corner worn to board, others are rubbed only. ; 4to ; Very ornate red mahogany morocco gilt (spine faded to light brown), aeg, 12" by 10.5" by 3" thick, plates. **Hills #1639. This copy has a color plate frontispiece and title page of both testaments. Hills calls for illuminated title pages without mention of color plates. The covers are gilt stamped with the scene of "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb..." within a triple ruled border containing a foliated field. .
