Stiff cream-colored paper wrappers with a two-layered dust jacket: semi-transparent Japanese tissue (with printed title) over hand-marbled paper. . 7 inches by 10 inches. . Poems set in Perpetua italic and titles set in Monument, printed on Barcham Green Bodleian paper. A fine copy in the original marbled board slipcase with printed spine label. Harold Budd (b. 1936) is a poet and prolific experimental composer. Angel is his second poetry collection, preceded by Colorful Fortune, which was published by Heavenly Monkey in 2009 with illustrations by Budd. The description of Angel on the Heavenly Monkey website states that the design of the book as "unadorned and straightforward" to match Budd's concise, uncomplicated verse.

There are eight numbered hors de commerce copies for contributors. There are six two-page color reproductions of Jane Marus batik paintings, printed on semi-transparent vellum, that are interleaved among the text pages. Each copy also includes an original frontispiece watercolor painting by Jane. The Deluxe copies are signed by Harold Budd, Jane Maru & David Sylvian. There is an additional signature from Harold Budd on the colophon page. Volume is handbound in clear Plexiglass boards with a slipcase. The composer's first work in fine printmaking. Five plates, each titled with the name of a Renaissance composer, engraved by Harold Budd, etched and printed at New Leaf Editions, on Barcham Green Penshurst paper. The title page, colophon, and portfolio were printed and produced by Rollin Millroy at Heavenly Monkey. One of ten portfolios containing complete sets of the five etchings. There were 15 numbered copies of each etching, (plus 7 proofs) each numbered and signed by Budd, who also signed the colophon.
