Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (a.k.a. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, followed by HP and the Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, etc.) by J.K. Rowling Hardcover First Canadian Edition - Fourth (4th) Printing Raincoast 1997 (but most likely printed in 1998 because lists "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" as also available). $19.95 cover price with "Joanne Rowling" listed as the copyright holder and Friesens as the printer. Fourth printing indicated by the printing number-line ending in "4".

Fine in Fine Dust Jacket, a near-perfect copy, with only a hint of shelf-wear to the bottom spine. The dust jacket is perfect. An exceptional copy not often found as such.

SPECIAL NOTE on the Canadian Raincoast editions of Harry Potter: I've never seen any first printing hardcover copies of HP and the Philosopher's Stone printed by Raincoast, Canada. I've only seen an occasional first and second printing in paperback. The earliest hardcover I've ever seen is a third printing copy. Third and later printings appear to have been produced in 1998. Does anyone know if there were first hardcover printing copies produced in Canada? One source stated that hardcover copies which were supposed to be available in Canada were diverted to Australia, and that hardcover copies didn't appear until 1998.
