The third book in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. For twelve long years the dreaded fortress of Azkaban held an infamous prisoner named Sirius Black. Convicted of killing 13 people with a single curse, he was said to be the heir apparent to Dark Lord Voldemort. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is an Academy Award nominated film, released June 2004. The DJ has one small tear in the upper right hand corner, other wise DJ and book are in Fine condition.

Synopsis

“Harry Potter is a wizard. He is in his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It's always a relief after summer with the Dursleys, however, Harry doesn't realize that this year will be just as eventful as the last two! The atmosphere at Hogwarts is tense. There's an escaped mass murderer on the loose, even the Muggles have been warned. The sinister prison guards of Azkaban have been called in to guard the school and Harry, Ron and Hermione rapidly discover why all witches and wizards live in fear of being sent to Azkaban. Lessons, however, must go on and there are lots of new subjects in the third year - Care of Magical Creatures and Divination among others. L'estampe Originale, founded in 1978 by Sandra Sofris Dolmatch, MFA, is a private art and antiquarian book dealer devoted to the research and selling of fine original prints, drawings, paintings, and sculpture- old master, nineteenth and twentieth century. It is a small company based on the traditional European model, that is to say with a medium sized and varied inventory embracing both major artists and minor, expensive and inexpensive. The list of writers, publishers and artists represented in our inventory is numerous, the techniques include a variety of drawings, etchings, engravings, aquatints, mezzotints, dry points, lithography, woodcuts, wood engravings, screen prints and a selection of mixed media. Although we are by nature generalists in the field, we have particular strengths in 19th and 20th century prints, paintings, and rare books.
