First edition first printing of authors' first mystery. Inscribed by the author on the title page. It says "For Jason - I Hope You Like the ride through Lowell. Best Wishes David Daniel." Lowell is the real life city in which the book is set. Winner of the St. Martin's Press Best First P.I. Novel award. There is a 1/2 inch closed tear to the dustjacket's rear panel that has caused light wrinkling to the top edge of the panel. In fine / near fine unread condition.
