Spine panel of the jacket is a bit rubbed and sun-faded and has minuscule tears at the head. FIRST EDITION. Legendary lawman, Henry Andrew "Heck" Thomas (1850-1912), brought hundreds of outlaws to justice in Indian Territory in the 1890s, including members of the Doolin-Dalton gang, a.k.a the Wild Bunch. "A biography of a famous deputy U.S. marshal containing much information on many of the Oklahoma outlaws" (Adams, "Six-Guns," 2009).

Six Guns 2009 says: "A biography of a famous deputy U.S. Marshal, containing much information on many of the Oklahoma outlaws." Heck Thomas was a lawman, most notably in Indian Territory. He was among the lawmen who ended the run of the Wild Bunch, also known as the Doolin-Dalton Gang. In 1896 Thomas led a posse that tracked down and killed outlaw Bob Doolin. Very good in dust jacket with minor edgewear and sunning to spine.
